Attitude has no age: This 10-year-old has designed her own metaverse platform.

Share

A new metaverse is about to land on the scene, and this one’s been designed by Aayati Dash: founder of Queendom, creative director, panellist and without a doubt the most incredible 10-year-old that we’ve had the pleasure of speaking with on MG Empower’s podcast. In the episode, Aayati discusses the incredible work she’s already doing, her vision for the future, and exactly what she wants to see from brands looking to connect authentically with the next generation: “If you want me to engage with your brand, show me your commitment to a cause.”

Influencer Marketing Uncovered, our flagship podcast, has played host to some incredible thinkers and changemakers over the seasons. But of all the stories that have been told on it, Aayati’s stands out. From experiencing bullying at school in the US, which she transferred to from India at the age of nine, to being invited to speak at a fireside chat at the World Economic Forum and subsequently co-founding a unique metaverse platform, the past year of Aayati’s life has been a wild ride.

When you hear her speak, you can’t help but be inspired by her infectious energy, confidence and strength of vision. Not only has Aayati successfully channelled the adversities of being bullied at a young age into incredible opportunities for herself, but she’s also come to a place in life where she’s dedicating her time to empowering others.

A bit of Aayati’s story – the rest is in the episode.

It all started when she created an Instagram account while on summer break (under her mother’s close supervision). Using the platform to discuss her favourite books, share her creative endeavours, and talk about some of the world’s problems, she started to get noticed. Aayati was then approached by the World Woman Foundation, and that’s how she ended up becoming the assistant creative director of the book LEADhER. Notably, she decided to change up the way the book showcased the 60 influential women whose stories it contained, by portraying them as superheroes.

From there, Aayati has been invited to speak at some of the most prestigious events in the world, including Cannes Lions 2023, about Queendom Metaverse: a unique platform of her own design that she created to give young girls like her access to coaching, capital, community, scholarship programmes, and commercial and creative opportunities. It’s truly awe-inspiring what this platform is capable of, and even more impressive that it’s the manifestation of a 10-year-old’s unique vision for a better world.

In Aayati’s own words, “We don’t need to be discovered. We will discover ourselves.”

To discover the rest of Aayati’s story, the details of Queendom Metaverse and the opportunities it holds for brands to be part of the adventure, listen to S3E09 of Influencer Marketing Uncovered now.
