Creating a hero video to launch a new camera, designed for content creators.

When Fujfilm released the X-S20, a new camera with features tailored to content creators, they needed creative assets to promote it. The MG Studio team produced the launch campaign – including an end-to-end audio-visual strategy – culminating in a top-performing video that was deployed across all of the brand’s online touchpoints. Effectively positioning the new camera as a versatile companion for the forever-evolving culture and lifestyle of young creatives.

Among the camera’s creator-friendly features are VLOG Mode, Product Priority, AI focus and one cable plug&play livestreaming capabilities. We were challenged to capture these USPs in an engaging video for a global audience, skewing young in order to chime with one of Fujfilm’s missions: to inspire both the current and next generations of content creators.

Strategy.

Align the X-S20 with the behavioural instincts of young creators.

Working in tandem with our creative strategy team, MG Studio identified the opportunity: to align the X-S20 with the behavioural instincts of young creators, we wanted to position is as the ideal companion for exploring and evolving creativity. To do that, we partnered with the target audience – taking young creators out and about to try the camera for themselves and create content showcasing it in use. Recognising their dreams, we imbued every scene, cut, transition and overall tempo, with the notion of ‘grow’.
