When Amyris launched PureCane (a superior, sustainable and science-backed sugar alternative) they wanted it to redefine the world’s relationship with sugar. But they needed a powerful go-to-market strategy to realise that vision. So, we activation an all-star team of nutritionists, fitness experts and niche influencers to co-create PureCane’s brand identity and generate brand awareness in two key markets through an always-on influencer marketing campaign.

Develop and execute a digital strategy that would change the world’s relationship with sugar.

Amyris Inc. wanted to revolutionise the world’s relationship with sugar by introducing a new clean sweetener brand, PureCane, and connecting with the millennial demographic. The challenge was to develop a digital strategy that would generate meaningful brand awareness and engage the target audience.

Activate a co-creative experience to spark conversations and shape the creative process.

Recognising the value of collaboration, our team invited a team of nutritionists, fitness experts and influencers to join us in a three-day, immersive and co-creative journey. This multidisciplinary team aimed to gather valuable insights and ideas to shape the creative process and ensure the development of a product that would resonate with consumers.

Leverage influencers’ platforms to connect with the end-consumer in real-time.

Through our methodology, we sampled PureCane products, exchanged ideas, and engaged in thought-provoking conversations. This process fueled the development of a powerful marketing plan that would leverage the influencers’ platforms to generate significant brand awareness – even before the product launch – and allow the end-consumer to be involved in the co-creation process by providing feedback, insights and ideas on the fly.

Results.

An awareness-driving influencer activation paved the way for PureCane.

Leveraging the influence of our all-star team, we actioned an intelligent digital strategy to drive brand recognition. Influencers created compelling content on Instagram, reaching an 6.5 million followers and generating 268,000 reactions – setting the stage for the successful rollout of PureCane across the US and Brazil.
