As part of its expansion to East Asia, Tangle Teezer planned a new campaign focused on raising awareness and meaningful engagement across multiple channels. Our experts designed a strategy to bring it to life, inspired by all the elements that drive the success of the world’s most famous detangling hairbrush – integrating expertise in different marketing touch points. By combining the brand’s global concept with a smart storytelling approach, the campaign translated Tangle Teezer’s features into impactful visuals to resonate with different local audiences.

Aiming to activate the brand in East Asian markets, Tangle Teezer was after a visual campaign that would allow the market’s audience to connect with its products authentically while also immersing them in the brand’s personality – built around innovation, performance, sustainability and diversity. So beyond developing a shooting, our experts were challenged to create a relatable and fun concept to amplify awareness and drive consideration – while staying true to Tangle Teezer’s positioning.

Our creative, audio, visual and production teams came together to design the full concept of the new campaign, immersing in meticulous research about the target audience. The data and insights from this process led to an assertive creative direction, blending two key pillars to incorporate a fresh aesthetic into the campaign: inspirational and educational. These drivers established the approach that would be combined with product placement and a neutral and minimalist style. The research also ensured model scouting and styling would resonate locally – putting together a successful cultural intelligence methodology.

The concept developed based on research and storytelling set the tone for the whole campaign. Photos and videos were developed as part of Tangle Teezer’s in-store, OOH and digital strategy, highlighting the products’ effectiveness and the brand’s identity. Our team followed the conceptual briefing to create the assets featured across multiple platforms and channels, from bold images to how-to tutorials – reinforcing Tangle Teezer’s brand as a reference in the haircare industry.
